Red Book : a reader's edition

As most of you know. Norton & Company has finally published a Reader's Edition for Jung's Red Book (liber novus). It is a wonderful portable-size book without the pictorials.

I would like to begin a committed, small reading-group. Ideally, the group will consist of 6-10 regular/ongoing member(s) however, others will be free to join but reading the assigned excerpts will be mandatory.

As you know, the Red Book has three parts (liber primus, liber secundus, and scrutinies). Each part is composed of brief chapter-like sections. I propose we read 2-4 chapters for each meetup. Of course, the group may modify my proposal. We can discuss & decide group logistics at the first meetup.

We can meet at my apartment to start, and perhaps rotate our meeting places at respective members homes, if possible. I'm willing to host all gatherings if no one else volunteers their temenos.

I envision the experience to take a year of so for completion. Perhaps less ....

NOTE : these will be augmented/auxiliary meetups. Not in lieu-of our regular assigned meetups.

Demostrate your committed interest by RSVPing yes.

Reminder: the venue is an Open Public Place. Please attempt to arrive early/promptly to procure chairs and tables. I usually prefer to sit toward the back (away from 42nd street). I plan to be there by 6pm.

Due to the apparent interest (see RSVP list), I have decided to change the venue to accommodate us. Unfortunately, my apartment is no longer ideal for our 1st meet-up. Consequently, the change of venue (see above). As usual, I suspect there will be an attrition rate for the first meet-up however, I pray this won't occur during subsequent meet-ups for this text. Please be conscientious and committed although sporadic absences are expected; life does throw curveballs.
