Please exercise "mindfulness" when you RSVP to an event, particularly if the event has RSVP LIMITATIONS.
Periodically, i receive emails from members (new and not-so-new) who are "wait-listed" for an event, expressing their desire to attend an event. Unfortunately, my response is NO.
For this recent event, i had to say NO to 5 wait-listed members. This bums me out.
This is a concern but not a problem.
The problem is when a few members develop a pattern of RSVPing yes to RSVP limited events and chronically does not attend and inadvertently arrest "wait-listed" members' oportunity to experience the event. Not cool .....
It is fantastic that 11 members attended and experienced Fanny Brewster's Talk. Thanks to Melissa for stepping-up.
However, only 11 of 18 attended. Hence 7 "wait-listed" members lost an opportunity for being part of an amazing FREE TALK. There were close to 10 members on the waiting list. Lets be conscientious.
All i request is for everyone to exercise MINDFULNESS, when possible.
Blame, guilt, rationalization(s) are frivolous.
Thanks for your attention and energy.
