In which outdoor skills or subjects are you most proficient?

I am in the woods a lot mountain biking, hiking, alpine skiing. I teach skiing, so I know how to take care of people in that situation. I have taken CPR and wilderness first aid, but have not had to use what I have learned thank goodness. I am not sure what I remember. I used to sail and at one point could read charts pretty well, but again it has been a long time. I have good common sense, does that count as being proficient at something?

Which outdoor skills or subjects would you most like to learn or improve?

I need to be better at reading a topo map, using various navigational devices,

How far would you be willing to travel for a bushcraft event?

5 or 6 hours drive.

Introduction

I spend a lot of time outside. I spend a lot of time cycling, predominantly mountain biking. I backpack and hike. I teach alpine skiing in the winter. I need to know what to do in the back country in case of an emergency.
