Renton-Green River Gorge Loop - Moderate and Steady

There will be two paces for this ride, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy :-)

Please join us for a fun and scenic ride starting at Ron Regis Park in Renton and riding the Cedar River Trail and rural roads to the Green River Gorge where we'll enjoy the scenery; then stop in Black Diamond for lunch before returning to the park. Bring money for lunch or your own lunch.

What a great day for the GRG ride yesterday. Happy that Wayne and I led our group to a fun ride and that we all enjoyed the ride and company, Green River Gorge and Black Diamond Bakery. We would like to thank you all for joining us on a great day and the weather was beautiful. My steady group rocked at the ride from start to finish...Frosene is right in saying that our group is the steady seven :-) Sue, Melinda, Terry and I went to a Terrible Beauty after the ride and were able to join Laurie, Jake and Andres for a post ride get-together...glad that Becky and Abdoul stopped by and joined us (also glad to see the at the bakery for a bit). Great times and memories for this awesome day :-)

I did a pre-drive late this morning for tomorrow's ride, and (for now) on the way to the GRG and the bakery from Ravensdale Park...there is some slush/we snow on some parts of the bike lane/shoulders. The north part of the route looks great (Renton and Maple Valley). Hopefully there won't be as much slush for tomorrow's ride as the weather for tomorrow calls for partly sunny with temps in the mid to upper 40s, and we'll start off with temps in the low to mid 30s (so, if you don't want your fellow riders to feel wet, then I'd suggest to have fenders for your bike). Looking forward to fun and scenic ride then :-)

I guess I'll be riding my winter bike tomorrow. It has fenders! I'm there Marizel! :-)

Snow?! I live down south in Bonney Lake in Pierce county and it's sunny sunny and bright down here. Looks and feels like spring to me. It's amazing how the weather can be so different from one area to the next. See you tomorrow morning! :)

Marizel! I'm finally getting back on my bike! I'm going to try and talk my friend from work Pam into joining us. She is new to cycling and has been doing the "Getting Ready to Ride" series with her husband Mike. I've been doing the series too and it's really helping me too. :-) Looking forward to the ride and seeing you too.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
