MORE Flattish Ride in N Seattle (Steady, 21 miles)

Please join us for a MORE ride! Midweek Outdoor Riding in Evening is a weekly ride of about 20 miles with a few hills. It is a perfect way to add a little training for otherwise weekend riders without spending too much time. And it’s a great way to enjoy the long day of Pacific Northwest! Don’t go to an indoor spinning class! Instead, ride with us!

The start locations will be in North Seattle (Lower Woodland Park, Matthews Beach, View Ridge, etc.). We will ride on urban Seattle/Shoreline streets as well as some trails. This ride is designed for those who are not so hip to hill climbing. We will regroup at top of every hill for a reasonable time, but if you are too fast/slow for the majority, it will become self-paced. It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case.

This week's MORE ride starts at Lower Woodland Park. We will go explore and admire boat houses of Eastlake via Montlake Bridge. We will go around west of Lake Union then onto South Ship Canal Trail to Elliot Bay. We have the last hump of Dexter Ave N before finishing the route.

Distance: 21.00 miles

Pace: Steady: [12-14mph]

Terrain: Some hills

Regroup: Occasional

Weather Cancels?: Steady rain cancels

Hi all, I am usually pretty good at reading the Doppler radar (if I may say so myself) and today's forecast during the ride is not looking good. I will be at the start regardless, but if you are driving far, don't sweat! I will repeat this route in the near future if I cancel it!

Hi all! Are you ready for this ride? The forecast is not looking good, but at least it's not cold out. This route is a figure 8, so if it gets bad, we can ditch the 2nd half of the route (at MP 10). Here is a cue sheet!
