On July 1st, Tantek Çelik, open web standards innovator and advocate, will be giving a short presentation on HTML5 and CSS3, the hottest emergent web standards.
After the presentation, there will be an interactive discussion on the subject, so PLEASE SEND ALL questions you would like answered to ][masked] by June 20th.
Çelik will be speaking at the Voices That Matter: Web Design Conference in San Francisco, June 28-30, and is kind of enough to set aside some time for the CASCADE Meetup group, to keep us in the loop of the newest developments of the web.
Çelik is an invited expert to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) HTML and CSS Working Groups and has had major impacts on where the web stands today. He has requested that members email me with questions they would like to discuss on web standards, html5, and css3.
Thanks and I hope to see everyone there!
Because this meetup is 100% nonprofit, we are asking for a $5-$20 donation to cover the costs, either via paypal or at the door. Also, if anyone wants to volunteer to help me setup, please send me an email: [masked]. Refreshments will be served and we will be raffling off books from Peachpit.
I am working on finalizing a venue right now, it will definitely be in San Francisco. Should have an answer by this weekend.
nice! glad a location was secured, should be a great event.
Will anyone post a video of this event for those of us who couldn't attend personally?
I would love to get my hands on recording of this presentation, please let me know if there is a link for it?
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
