As a reminder, our Cascading meetup will be held tonight at The Climate Corporation, 201 Third Street #1100 in San Francisco, from 6-9pm.

We are fortunate to have Pavel Machalek from The Climate Corporation, speaking about their uses of Cascading and Cascalog. Also, Chris Wensel will give an overview of Cascading 2.2 features, and I will show a demo of a new module being added to Cascading.

Based on our previous meetup (last month) we collected a list of topics for potential break-out sessions:

  • discuss Test-Driven Development at Scale
  • drill-down more into Sample Apps, "Impatient" series, etc.
  • how to change cluster behavior during a flow: configure priority order, strategies, etc.
  • show examples of the "Pattern" project (PMML support)
  • deep-dive into Scalding and Matrix API
  • decision points on how/where to improve your Cascading app -- which trade-offs and options apply

Are there other topics which you'd like to add?

See you tonight!
