The Cleveland Cat Resource Meetup Group Message Board › Member asks-3 CATS need TEMP FOSTER while guardian moves
Please see the email below from our member, Doug, who is trying to help out a friend during her move. Please note that the indoor/outdoor (and unfixed) cats MUST be kept inside at their temporary placement. If you are so inclined to offer assistance (financial or transport etc.) with spay/neuter for these cats while in your care, please talk with Doug and/or their guardian. There are several low-cost options out there, the APL is one of them. Appointments run about 2 weeks out and the cost is CHEAP! Please contact Doug (info below) if you are able to help.
For S/N appts at the APL call - Marta Anderson 216-377-1624 or firstname.lastname@example.org
These are my friend's cats. She doesn't have a computer and doesn't
know how to use one that well so I am doing this for her, and the
cats. She is moving temporarily to a place where she can't keep the
cats and needs a place to take them temporarily til she can find
another place to move. She figures this would be about a month. She
wants the cats back. She will buy food while they are taken care of.
There are 3 cats. They are all young, one is black and brown, one
black, and one kind of long hair siamese. They are all nice cats. I
have held all of them. The black brown is the most friendly. She
lives inside. The siamese goes in and out I think. She is small, not
mean at all, but not friendly at first. I had to corner her to catch
her. It was not hard to pick her up and she sat pretty calm while I
patted her. The black one is also kind of small and was not hard to
catch but she was a little nervous while I held her. She was a stray
and had kittens at my friend's house. The kittens were kept inside in
a box and the mother came in to take care of them and stayed in the
box with them. She goes in and out. But since they are not fixed I
would say keep them inside.
I am pretty sure they all have claws and
are not fixed. I keep telling her to get them fixed but we will have
to take care of that later. As far as I know there are no special
needs for the cats. They can be separated so if you can only take 1
or 2 cats that would help too. She has carriers for the cats.
It would be better to call me (Doug) first at least 440-521-7072, but you can
call her also. Beth home 216-671-8531, cell 216-978-8612. Yes we
found homes for the kittens and supposedly a temp home for the dog.
Thanks Donna, I feel bad for these cats and don't want them left
