Hello everyone - after a lot of thinking, I am so concerned about this whole situation. The red flags with regards to the "mom" and my husband talked to the "dad", he works and we can get the address at the time we touch base during the week and can't do anything sooner. I think we should back away from this situation. Craigslist was flagged again for the second time - you know what I mean?

Something that bothers me is I was emailing with Adams "mom" during her last ad.  Didn't say anything about his having a "dad".

This story breaks my heart - not sure why people can't work to find homes that are pet friendly.
Anyhow, being that this little guy will go to a good home if someone in the group gets him, I can contribute. I will write a $20 check to whomever is in charge. I would love to put in more but I've spent over $1000 at the vet in the past month and finances are a little tight.

Through my tabulations we have 325 - Chris Ali Linda and me. Can others chip in 10 or 25 to help us get there? We need 175.

Betty, that's great.  I'm sure he is a really sweet pup.  It seemed to me like he needs a forever home more than a foster home.  Good luck and please keep us updated on how he's doing.  Finances are really tight right now, but I can contribute 25.00.

Hi! I can take him but I just can't afford the $500. If we all chip in it can work. I can't believe this person is doing this. I feel horrible Alison.

This is a good idea, what if a few members chip in for Adam? I can collect somehow. I can chop in $100, anyone else? More importantly who can take this cutie?

I think paying this person a fee is not the end of the world. If what she says is true, it does not seem so awful to want some of your costs covered and to screen out people who might just want to re-sell Adam. Yes it perpetuates bad behavior but the fact is that Adam needs a good home. In fact by the looks of the pee pads all over their house it seems like Adam doesn't get to go out much.

He may be from a puppy mill. I rescued my Henry and he was from a puppy mill. He is now 6 yrs old and, knock on wood, in perfet health.

With the goal of getting this cute little guy a good home, paying this fee is worth it. For many reasons I can not take Adam but I am willing to help with the fee if someone here, who we think would provide a good home, wants to try to adopt him.

When you give rescue a fee it u because the dig had been vetted and in many cases that means teeth cleaning, vaccinations and sometimes much much more depending on the health if the dog! You will absolutely know the health status if the dog you are adopting! This is a sale pure and simple! Like Ali said you would gladly give your dog to a GOOD home to know they are safe!
