Where is the crate? If it's not in your bedroom you might want to try moving it there.

Well, that is probably what he wants.

Hello Group -
My 6 month old cavalier, Ryker, has hit some new
phase and to be frank, it's driving me nuts. Since his very first day at
home at 9 weeks old, he's always been so docile and happy to be in his
crate at night. Never had any problems before. About 2 weeks ago he woke
me up with barking at about 12:30pm and then again at 4pm. Each time I
took him outside to pee but he barely even needed to go. Now it's become
a regular thing for him to start barking 30 mins after he goes into the
crate and he pretty much doesn't stop until the next morning. I'm
actually afraid of getting kicked out of my apt because others must be
hearing it. Not sure what to do here but I'd love some advice as I need
my sleep and not sure how much longer I can handle this. Sleeping with me on the bed is not an option. I'd rather not get into the habit.
