With the new year, it is time again to remind members to read our "PAGES" section (on the top toolbar on our meetup page). This section has two pages.
1. The first page contains general housekeeping information. Please be sure you read this as it has been modified from prior years. Additionally, those members who have not paid their $5 annual fee for 2013 - you can do so on our meetup page via the paypal button. This payment was reduced from $10/$15 to $5. This money goes to offset the cost of the meetup page which is $150 a year which is broken into two semi annual payments. As the new organizer, I did receive a 50% off the first semi annual payment as a one time "perk". All monies paid into the meetup that exceed the cost of the meetup fee will be put back into the group - via doggie ice cream socials, fees for indoor play, prizes for halloween, etc. You can also look to keep track of the money coming into the group and expenses going out now on the meetup page. I will say that I am doing this on a one year trial basis to be the organizer. I can't afford to support the page on an individual basis for everyone to utilize. This is YOUR page, for YOUR events. If you do not wish to participate, you can choose to leave the group, but we really wish you would stay and join us in our activities!
ALSO you can now suggest and create a meetup as a member of the group! It will become a valid meetup when 3 folks agree to attend. It will post out there and members will have the opportunity to RSVP. So, if you know of something that would be fun, different or pet friendly, go onto our meetup page and schedule a meetup!
2. The second document on the PAGES section is one that is editable by members. It is a services page. Many members have asked about grooming, pet sitting, etc and this is a way to share information. You can add a service or product that YOU can offer. The only stipulation is that it is YOUR BUSINESS, not you working for someone else (say like you are a groomer, but you work at Sallys Pet Boutique as a groomer). Basically, add your name, type of service or product and contact info (like a website or a facebook page or email), so people can contact you for more information. Bottom line is our meetup group does not ENDORSE or BACK any of these services or products. It is merely a listing for everyone to reference.
Thanks again for your attention!
