I would be really surprised if the developers changed direction now. What I saw last night was a plan pretty much set in stone. The attendees however were impassioned about creating an art house in place of a "soul less" shopping mall. Everyone agrees that the Dome as it stands today will not be saved but they could invest their money in 'the Dome Plaza' thereby paying tribute to PHills past and creating an art house that would encourage community. Side note, Dicks Sporting Goods sells firearms. To be constructed 2 blocks from an elementary school! Why isn't this on the news? And why are not more people getting involved in Stopping this?

How the Dome demolition will affect this group: We will still schedule events to see independent films, but they will be either in Berkeley, Oakland, or San Francisco theatres rather than a theatre in our backyard, which as been quite convenient for many.
