TRAILER

Superman flies back onto the big screen in this Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures production directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen), produced by Christopher Nolan(The Dark Knight), and featuring a screenplay by David Goyer (Blade, The Dark Knight). Born on the alien planet of Krypton, Kal-El is sent by his parents to live on planet Earth, where he is given the name Clark by kindly farmer Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and his wife, Martha (Diane Lane), who raise him as if he were their own son. As a young boy,Clark displays incredible superpowers that instill him with a profound sense of personal responsibility. Later, the amiable Clark (Henry Cavill) becomes a reporter for the Metropolis newspaper "The Daily Planet," and strikes up a friendship with crackerjack journalist Lois Lane (Amy Adams). But when his new world is attacked by a force that humans are powerless to defend themselves against, Clark assumes the identity of Superman and fights to protect the entire human race. Academy Award-nominated actor Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Boardwalk Empire) co-stars as General Zod and Laurence Fishburne steps into the role of "Daily Planet" editor-in-chief Perry White. The restaurant was great, inexpensive, big portions and I could tell we overwhelmed them but the handled it so well (plus it's so hard for me to find an asian restaurant that doesn't use MSG or YEAST EXTRACT and they don't!!tell your friends!!!) ( I called ahead and checked)

the movie I thought had good moral undertones, but the story was sorta all over the place & way too long i had really good closure at least a half hour before it finally ended...even after all that i still really enjoyed the movie and not just because superman was so pretty to look at...

It was nice to meet all the people I had met last night and hope to you again!

I give the noodle restaurant 4 stars too. We pretty much overwhelmed them with 23 people. I had high expectations for the movie with such great actors, but it was too long, nothing new was added to the previous retelling of the same story, and I got to say that movies like this just teach people to fight your way out of a dilemma instead of finding intelligent mutually beneficial solutions. Then the movie became a mockery when only a few people are saved but the city is destroyed, and then miraculously this city that took decades to build in the first place is back to normal in no time.

I give the noodle restaurant 4 stars ;-) and the members and Lana get 5; The movie...not so much. A bit too high-tech, si-fi apocalypse for me. But there is no excuse for that kiss! Methinks old Superman was digging his mom a lot more than his lady love...heads up Lois, he's just not that into you!

I did not like the movie at all. Way too many special effects and very little story line. Also the movie was too long - I think it was 2 1/2 hours. They easily could have cut out at least 45 minutes of the movie.

Great company. Dreadfully overblown movie. Too many extreme closeups. Too many special effects, too much music, too many explosions, too many pregnant pauses between lines of dialog, too many flashbacks and discontinuities in the timeline. Why couldn't they just tell a story? The only question is ... was the movie bad enough to eventually become a cult classic?

Argh...I didn't duck fast enough for one of your pics!

I hope I kept track of everyone who showed up! This is officially the biggest turnout ever so thanks to everyone for your patience with it all! I think the final fight scene should've been left out and the part leading up to when General Zod shows up was good. I was hoping for more flashbacks esp. with Diane Lane because I really liked those parts of the movie. It was nice meeting everyone and hope to talk to some of the newbies a little more at a future meetup!
