Weather forecast was wrong again, bummed I canceled last night. For us organizers it's a tough call to know when to cancel. We want to give you all enough time in advance so you can plan accordingly. We would hate to cancel a few hours before the meetup and have people show because they didn't get the message.
If we need to cancel due to weather, I’ll post a notice by 9 am Sunday. Please always be sure to check the Meetup site before leaving for the event to see if there have been any changes.
But I don't want these brownies and St. Patty's dog treats to go to waste so we'll try again tomorrow. I called Pub Dog and they will be busy tomorrow for the holiday so the earlier the better.
Let's start our walk at 10:30am and eat at Pub Dog at 11:30am. It will be cold so make sure your bundle up.
There will be only one walk tomorrow. RSVPS, will be set at 15 and there will not be a waiting list (due to all the confusion over the past few days).
Pub dog for St. Patty's day is becoming quit the annual event for CDOG. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough for us to sit outside and enjoy their yummy pizza. I plan to bring some special St. Patty's treats for the pup and a new recipe I found on Pinterest for us that I can't wait to make, St. Patrick's Day Mint Oreo Brownies.
For the walk, we'll meet at 10:30am and go around Sewells Orchard Pond. We'll begin on Dobbin Road (see Directions below) with a short stroll through pine woods and a field, and then circle the pond. There are benches en route and areas to view the great blue herons and ducks who live on the pond. The walk is fairly short (less than 2 miles) but very pretty and quiet.

After the walk, we'll take a very short (1/10 mile) drive to the Pub Dog (8865 Stanford Blvd). Dogs are very welcome here. The Pub Dog has a large outdoor patio with about a dozen tall table-and-bench sets attached to the side of the building. Everything is dog-themed. The menu consists of salads and about 15 varieties of pizza, plus they have a nice selection of their own brews (also dog themed). The pub is not presently offering outdoor table service, so you'll need to place your order inside and bring it out. I'll bring menus to make ordering easier. Feel free to check out their menu's online before you go: food menu and/or a beer menu.
DIRECTIONS FOR THE WALK We'll start the walk at the parking lot of the Columbia Business Center, Building 6420. The Google map is not very clear for this one, but the parking lot is directly across from the Blockbuster and Benjamin Moore Paints at 6505 Dobbin Road. As you turn in at the light (Look for the Columbia Business Center sign),you'll go toward the office buildings on your right and park close to Dobbin Road near the building labeled 6420. Look for the gathering of dogs! Here is a map Mary created for directions and the meetup spot---http://goo.gl/maps/R5zHF.
For Pub Dog directions, see the "Location" instructions above or the Pub Dog website.
Nena & I had a wonderful time. Weather was a bit chilly but we still enjoyed it. Thanks so much for inviting us and Lisa those treats were awesome. Tried to get a taste but Nena would not share:)
Looking forward to the next meetup

All of our dogs were Irish Setters today! Enjoyed the walk around the pond and a stop at the PubDog afterwards. It was a little chilly, but the company was great and we'll look forward to more of these. Thanks, Lisa, for organizing! And an extra special thanks for baking those yummy for treats for not only our dogs, but us too! Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Nice area to walk. My dogs had a good time. They are fast asleep. Wish the weather was a little warmer.

I can't figure out how to delete myself from tomorrow's walk and have already spent a lot of time trying to do so, so, sorry. I will not be walking. Thanks.
