Wine Bin Yappy Hour [Community Event]

NOTE: This community event is organized and sponsored by the Wine Bin and not by Columbia Dogs on the Go. It is open to the general public. It is not a "Meetup," but is posted here to inform our members and start a discussion. Your RSVP here is to let other members know you are planning to attend. It is not a registration for the event.

Bring your well-behaved dogs for another fun evening of wine and dog biscuits at the Wine Bin! There will be wine and Parfections chocolates for the adults and fun for everyone.

Dogs must be leashed. Donations and a portion of sales benefit animal charities.

The Wine Bin notes that "Yappy Hours will now be held on the first Fridays of each month (April through November) on Ellicott City's First Fridays, which allows visitors to enjoy evening shopping hours and entertainment throughout town."

Check the Wine Bin's website for more information!

It was pretty crowded! I enjoyed hanging out for an hour and meeting others. A nice venue.

Not sure whether I'll bring Katie or Alex.
Katie (1 yr old) rarely gets to go out with me, but she'll never learn to settle down if I don't start taking her. Alex is my steady standby at 9 yrs old.

You'll decide what's best. Does Katie go for the group dog walks? Moving is probably her favorite stimulation. The weather should be great so if she's rambunctious you can put her in the car for awhile to give yourself a break. That's just an idea...

So, this is a wine bar. I looked @their site, do they serve food? Is this adults -only?

I just called The Wine Bin ... no food this year (they used to have hot dogs a couple years ago). However, he said there is a pizza place down the street that will be handing out coupons during the Yappy Hour. They have a courtyard and they're dog-friendly, so they invite folks to come, eat, and bring their dogs. :)

Thanks for the follow up Traci. And if it starts at 6, I'll plan accordingly.

I know we hang out outside, so I'd guess that younger folks could join in. Call them about food. I've never been there myself.
