Monday let's celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday walking doggies at Centennial Lake :) Weather should be 48 degrees and partly cloudy; only a 10% chance of rain and winds at 10 mph.
Please bring NON-RETRACTABLE LEASHES for your dogs, as retractable leashes can amputate paws. Dogs should be friendly to humans and other dogs.
Please NOTE that this is NOT the main entrance to Lake Centennial Park. To get to the West Entrance, you must turn ONTO CENTENNIAL LANE from Highway 108, then go about a quarter mile, then take the first RIGHT into the parking lot of the WEST ENTRANCE. The roads from one entrance to the other do NOT connect inside the park, so you must get to this entrance by Centennial Lane.
Do your best to arrive early, because in colder weather it isn't easy to stand still and wait for late arrivals. If you can't make it please change your RSVP promptly. We are going to step off at 2:00 p.m. for real. We'll turn to the right on the trail so you'll know where to find us if you arrive late. [In fact if you're really late (by several minutes) you may wish to turn left so you'll run into us and we can walk together at least part of the route.] Thank you for understanding that we are trying to honor the folks who arrive on time :) Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
