Interested in being a meetup event organizer (Lead a walk)?

We would like to have a "humans only" event at a local restaurant and discuss what it means to be a meetup event organizer. We would plan to discuss whats required, show you on the computer how to post events, and things to consider. We would love to have more event organizers to offer more meetups.

Want to be a proud parent of a Canine Good Citizen?

Would you like us to set up some Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) evaluations for the group? AKC's CGC Program is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Items on the CGC Test: 1 Accepting a friendly stranger 2 Sitting politely for petting 3 Appearance and grooming 4 Out for a walk (walking on a loose lead) 5 Walking through a crowd 6 Sit and down on command and Staying in place 7 Coming when called 8 Reaction to another dog 9 Reaction to distraction 10 Supervised separation A local CGC evaluator will test/evaluate our dogs for a fee of $10. Please note that your dog does not need any formal obedience or CGC classes to take the test. The test takes about 7 to 10 minutes, and we'll try to set these up at a local area through our Meetup site. For additional info about CGC, please visit: www.akc.org/events/cgc/index.cfm

How would you like us to post and announce public dog events?

Many outside organizations sponsor pet-related events and fundraisers open to the general public (eg, Wine Bin Yappy Hours, Canines & Cocktails, Dog Day Afternoon, etc.) Please tell us your preference for posting these types of events. (Note: You can add comments on the Message Board. Click on the Discussions tab.)
