Carlo's Pizza-Marlboro NJ

Happy to let everyone know that Carlo's Pizza (corner of Union Hill Rd & Rt. 9N-Exclusive Plaza) in Marlboro is making GF pizza with the Still Riding Pizza Crust. This is the best pizzeria in the area and they are bringing their know how to the GF world. Sal the owner spoke last week at the Central Jersey ROCK meeting. It is a family business and they are very motivated and interested in serving the GF community. They are in the process of developing other GF menu options and getting educated about avoiding cross-contamination. Sal said if all goes well, he would consider offering the GF menu at their other locations in Old Bridge & Howell as well! This is a tremendous step forward as up till now there was little in the way of GF pizza available in central NJ. Unlike other restaurants who may have been motivated by a friend or family member with celiac-they are just smart business people who see an untapped market! They already do a lot of work with the public schools by providing food to children with peanut allergies, etc and they seem interested in expanding their reputation as a safe haven for "food sensitive people".

Wow, this is fantastic Nicole! I can't wait to check it out!! Gonna head over there ASAP and give it a try...and if I survive (joking) it'll have to make it into our JC Meetups schedule! =)

It would be a good place to meetup because the NJ Transit bus from NYC stops right in the same parking lot.
