February's Full Moon is Monday February 25th. The moon will rise tonight at 6:29pm in the constellation Virgo.
February's full Moon is traditionally called the Full Snow Moon because usually the heaviest snows fall in February. Up North hunting becomes very difficult, and so some Native American tribes called this the Hunger Moon. Obviously these where not Seminole Indian names for February's Full Moon, the Seminoles, and us folks living in Florida today, might call this the Awesome Moon because the weather is great and fresh veggies and citrus are abundant this time of year in Central Florida.
As the Full Moon appears tonight we will gather under the bodhi tree to celebrate with drum and dance.

At FSHL, we seek to connect our community with the planetary cycles that affect us all, even in urban environments, such as seasonal cycles, planting cycles, and lunar cycles. To help our community connect with the lunar cycle, we celebrate the New Moon and Full Moon with community circles. The Moon Circle gathering is family friendly, but kids must stay supervised. These family-friendly events are open to the public and feature drumming, dance, chanting, singing, local artists, healing, and much more. Learn more here...
