GoDrum: Hand drum class with Jason Isla

Its time to GO DRUM!

This is a 90 minute drum class for drummers of all levels. The class will focus on basic drum technique, holding simple grooves, and building comfortable expression with your drum. The class operates at a multi-level pace. Beginning drummers will find steady rhythms. Advanced drummers will have solid foundations on which to build solo skills and more technical ensemble parts.

Djembes and congas are the dominant drums, but other types of drums are welcome. Bells, claves, and other percussion instruments are always a nice addition. Extra drums will be available in the class for a donation.


Instructor:

Jason Isla is the has been playing hand drums since 1997 and music since childhood. He blends the skills of a performing rock musician, a nationally known drum circle facilitator,  and a proven classroom instructor with over 10 years of teaching a spectrum of topics to people of all ages.  Friendly, welcoming, and always smiling big. Jason's classes are always fun, challenging, and ready for in the moment creation.

      Hey Led, it is not ideal for small kids. Kids around 12 and up will be able to hang with the group.
