Enter the Dragon!
Gather with us 7 - 10pm.
This powerful new moon marks the Chinese New Year.
Join us for a special New Moon gathering, where we will both celebrate the Chinese New Year and honor the spirit of the Senator Tree, a 3500 year old Bald Cypress which died dramatically in an unexplained fire one week ago Monday morning.
We'll have a nice fire to keep warm by while we enjoy beautiful transcendent music making inspirations ~ drumming, dance, chanting, singing, local artists, healing, and much more.
Mars goes retrograde at 7:54pm this New Moon gathering; at this time we will pay tribute to the energy released by this ancient tree in its burning by observing a silent meditation. Share in community reflections of the wisdom this tree shared with those who visited. Receive the sharing of flute music by a community member who communed with the tree just days before it caught fire.
We will observe a meditative circle, musically speaking, in honor of the Senator tree, and encourage you to bring your flutes, didgeridoos, and stringed instruments for the evening. We will, as always, have plenty of community instruments to share so that each of us have the opportunity to lend our energy to the community's harmony. Shari Masters and Shine On Yoga will be offering reiki and massage healing for the evening.
Other stuff you should know....
Our Full and New Moon circles include community sharing, local artists, herbalist bar, music and meditation circle, and are gifts to the community, created by the community. If you have the means, please make a financial donation to keep the rhythm flowing and growing.
Meditation, massage, reiki, flutes, guitars, frame drums, tablas, and other musical instruments of a softer volume are all welcome.
The scene is family friendly, but kids must stay supervised. We gratefully receive donations to keep this circle open. Dandelion Cafe features beverages and organic vegetarian food to keep us fueled for the celebration.
The energy of the circles is different each time, shifting with the lunar cycles. Bring an instrument and a friend, or make new ones around the circle.
Don't have a drum? No worries, thanks to Remo Drums we have community instruments to share. Its allot of fun, don't miss out! Just remember drum circle etiquette to always ask permission if you're unsure who's instrument you'd like to play.
Moon Circles sponsored & hosted by:
It is our belief that by living in greater harmony with the natural cycles that guide us, we develop a greater relationship to the planet and thus it becomes easier to walk our path lightly upon her. To help our community connect with the lunar cycle, we celebrate the New Moon and Full Moon with community music circles.
