Meeting Description: Introductory level Balafon class provided by Seguenon Kone. Seguenon is originally from Ivory Coast, but we are lucky to have him as one of OurLando's local greats. Be sure to check out his latest CD.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn traditional Balafon techniques, songs, and rhythms.

Please bring your own Balafon if you have one. If it is out of tune Seguenon can surely fix this for your.

For those who do not have a Balafon (similar to a Marimba or xylophone) need not worry. Seguenon and Three Masks African Shop will provide the traditional instruments. If you wish to purchase your own they will help you locate one as well.

Please email me (Jason) with any questions. This is sure to be a great opportunity for everyone.

Want to know what a Balafon sounds like in person? Go to the New Moon Circle on Feb 7th. Seguenon will be joining us in our community celebration!!
