Happy New Year!



2009 is here and what a great and full year of drumming we have to enjoy here in Central Florida.


Check out the updated Meetup Calendar for all the 2009 Moon Circle dates. Our next Moon Circle is Saturday January 10th. On this day we will celebrate the first Full Moon of the year.

Also, check out the dates for Melbourne's Friday Fest. Accompanying a big street party with multiple bands, bars, street vendors and family fun, this drum circle takes place near the beach the second Friday of each month.

Also posted are the Spring, Summer and Falls dates for the big statewide Paralounge Drum Gatherings. Be sure to mark your calendars early and request time off from work so you can enjoy these weekend long retreats with drummers and dancers from all over the State and Southeast US.

For those Earth worshipers among us, I have added FPG's Beltane Festival to the April/May calendar. This is another big statewide camping gathering in the Ocala forest featuring a great drum circle each night of the four day event.

I am looking forward to a great year with lots of drumming. Catch you on a down beat around the circle soon.

Make 2009 the year you master the drum!

Jason Isla will be teaching African djembe and djun-djun for beginners-to-intermediate players every Monday night down at the School of Holistic Living.

Those looking for a more Eastern flavor should register for the 10-week Tabla class beginning February 10th. This beginner?s class will be conducted by world renound Santoor and Tabla Mastero Pandit Nandkishor Muleyji.
