A few excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner (with impressive beer lists), lots of history and historical buildings and a reported nice little shopping area right on the main drag. This trip was written up in the April 2012 issue of Backroads magazine, and the town is a very short distance from Washington's Crossing State Park. Check out www.temperancehouse.com, www.brickhotel.com, wwwisaacnewtons.com, and www.blackhorsenewtown.com for more info. We could get a nice ride in from here to Washington's crossing and come up the PA or NJ side of the Delaware for the trip home.
Larry,
I thought that I did update my profile pic to my new bike. I guess that I always think that I do it right, but I guess not. Ill try it again. Thank You!

Mark, you need to update your profile and change out the trike for that sweet new ride. It's a beauty, congrats!
June 11, 2012
No need for thanks. You had to put up with an old fart like me, I think I got the better of the deal...
June 10, 2012
I second Ron's sentiments...Mark, you are amazing !!!
June 10, 2012
Great ride. Met new friends along with other friends we met before. Fantastic little town. Awesome group to ride with. Had a blast!
June 10, 2012
Weather not only held out but was perfect. New folks to meet, old folks to see again and more great road picks by Kurt. Fantastic!
June 10, 2012
Mark, not only are you to be admired for your service as a law enforcement officer but you are also an inspiration to us all with how you overcame tremendous odds. It is nothing less than a true honor to share the road with you. I look forward to many more rides with you and your lovely wife. Congratulations on the new bike. Stay safe brother.

Great day. Had alot of fun.
June 9, 2012
Great ride on some great roads. Beautiful town. Enjoyed being back on 2 wheels.

Great group (once we all assembled together), weather cooperated.Could have used another two hours to explore, but Mother Nature looked impatient. And Lou's table might still be waiting for their food...
June 9, 2012
Great ride and great time! Nice to meet more members and Kurt, another outstanding job in planning and leading as usual. Thanks again.
June 9, 2012
Don't know what forecast you're getting, but Accuweather for new Hope area says sunny all day and a "possible" thunderstorm around 3 PM...then sunny again.
June 8, 2012
kurt i don't want to ride in rain or wet roads on my brand new bike just yet. they are calling for 40-50% chance of thunder storms.don't know what to do. maybe i'll ride up and then head for home, especially if it looks bad. i know i'm being a candy a....
anyway if i'm at ex 12 fine. if i'm not, don't worry about me. Is that ok.
June 8, 2012
So if we have to wait out a small T-storm, we can do it at Dilly's or the Stockton Inn...http://www.accuweather.com/en/u...![]()
June 8, 2012
Not liking the weather report too much...
June 8, 2012
Keep your eyes peeled. There will likely be two groups separated by a few minutes. I'll be leading the first. When you see us coming down the street, signal and I'll slow down (unless we hit the light) so you can insert. Join up where you can.
June 7, 2012
Kurt, thanks for the route. June and I will meet you all at the intersection of Rt 31 and Delaware Ave at the Pennington Shopping Center parking lot (will be on your left).
June 7, 2012
Hi June,
I'm reviewing the route Kurt sent then will call ya with a meet up plan.
June 7, 2012
Rob, my number is [masked].
June 7, 2012
Rob, where you seem to know the area, you just got voted the lead. Just let me know where you want to meet and the time. Kurt, please let us know where a good place to join the group and a rough idea of the time. I'm leaving the planning up to the men so I can have someone to blame...lol
June 7, 2012
You're getting a strange noise from your front end or your bike's front end? The former sounds more credible. But I'll have one for you anyway.
June 7, 2012
Have to bow out, I'm getting a strange noise I've never heard before from the front end and have to check it out before going that far from home. Safe ride all. Profesor have one for me since I don't drink beer anyway.
June 7, 2012
June,
In an earlier post Kurt mentioned route 546 near Washington's Crossing Park which is right up the road from the Bridge. I can easliy meet you out in your zone (Flemington) then we can work our way down using 31 / 579. Kurt, not sure how you will coming through but be advised that the Bridge is out on 579 (Bear Tavern) at the split off from Jacobs Creek Road (Google map already shows it gone).
June 7, 2012
Wherever you and Rob decide to meet to hook up with the main body of riders, June, let me know ASAP.
June 7, 2012
Rob,
Ron emailed me that he wasn't going to make it. I hope you know the area because I don't. Let me know. Thanks
June 7, 2012
Ron,
Since you are also in Somerset County, where might you be meeting up with the main group? Trying to get some feedback before I call June. Thanks!
June 6, 2012
I'm just giving you the business Dan :-) I passed you on Rt. 28 by UPS. You looked comfortable on the bike, congrats!
June 5, 2012
@Dan: I was in the line of cars behind you waiting for you to get up to the speed limit :-)
June 2, 2012
To all: I changed the meetup location to McDonald's, a couple hundred yards down the road from Uno's. Uno's will not be open at that time, and I figured some folks might want a bite to eat and a loo before we head out. Breakfasters can meet at 8:30 AM. Come with full tanks. Kickstands up at 9:15.
May 26, 2012
You. You've proved yourself under fire already. i couldn't ask for a better sweep. But we may need two...
May 25, 2012
D., we're meeting up and leaving from Uno's on Rt. 1 south near Menlo. Some of the other folks who are from out further west are going to catch up with us en route.
