I am also a Meet-Up Wall-flower and have not been about to make the "meet-ups" however, I also enjoy reading and commenting on various threads.
The groups in the State College mentioned by Clinton Judy perked my curiosity.  I work with a group of programmers at the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit.  --  (don't judge us by the site, Joomla! install gone South)  --  is our redesign and gives a better sense of capacities.

We dabble in just about everything.

The en vogue "stack"
=> CakePHP
=> Ruby on Rails
=> jQuery

Odds and Ends
=> Bootstrap

We just started moving several Joomla! instances over to WordPress so we are working on integrating the toolkits into those sites.

We home grow a lot of stuff as well as try to leverage the aforementioned CMS's for "client sites"
Once we get things rolling, I would be happen to share links if folks are interested.

Right now, we are looking to stream line development work (we are thinking Kanban or Scrum) so that jabberwocky is also appealing.

I don't know if those topics resonant with others but would love to have the conversation.

Thanks for the replies so far

Hi everyone,

I am developing a website for myself and my business and want the opportunity to network with and pick the brains of techies, graphic designers and anybody else, whatever your title.  I would appreciate some feedback regarding meetings.  What day of the week, what time of day, how many in a month, workshops, speakers, do we need to have a meeting for technical aspects and one for design, etc.  I have a gallery in Middletown with a large screen and projector where people could share their work, ideas and feedback.  I am interested in how people are using wordpress for their sites, yet I prefer to be more creative than what I have seen.  I do not brag about my website currently and it is NOT up to date, but if you want to check out  Let me know your url or your creation.

Thanks, hope to hear from you!
