All of you helped make this weekend a success, so I really don't think it's necessary to offer more (that's not fair to YOU). But if you'd like to donate $25 more, the additional funds can go toward Eric's Single's Tournament (winking). Thanks for insisting, Juan!

To allow the sun to dry up courts, please arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. We'll start playing at 9 am.

I would play but can't due to prior obligations. If it gets rained out, I can play that weekend. I would love to play a singles tournament if that happens.

Is there a chance to push back the start time? I've heard that many aren't signing up due to the 8 time… perhaps 10 would get more interest. And encourage people just to sign up and they will be assigned a comparable partner, not just whomever is left

Hi Eric - thanks for sharing your feedback. Admittedly, the draw is much smaller than 2 years ago. As long as we have at least 2 teams, we'll still play. Some folks have shared that they are struggling to find a partner and have therefore not signed up yet. There's at least one player who has paid for participation--but I think he's not even a member of this meetup, so I can't add him to the roster. But I will respect your decision to not participate if you feel it's not worth the effort since there doesn't seem to be alot of folks participating.

if people can't find a partner, encourage them to sign up anyway. We can divvy up teams the day of if need be.

So, does this mean you'd like to host a singles tournament some time this year? I'd LOVE to support you - you take the lead and I'm sure we'll follow.

How bout this idea! If there are not at least 4 teams then have a singles tournament; more people will likely sign up. My suggestion is to have 16 or 24 (6 byes) singles players either play in a seeded tournament or a random draw tournament. Priscilla, I would be happy to discuss with you 16 seeds that I have in mind and contact those players to see if we can get a good tournament going. There doesn't even have to be an entry fee, just let's see who's the best on any given weekend.

In my opinion, if there are not at least 8 good doubles teams competing, it might not be worth it.
