This inspired Meetups in Longmont
There Should be an App for That: The City will host the first Longmont community hackathon in March to develop technological solutions to everyday problems. But first we need to identify the issues to work on. The city council is inviting the public to share ideas and help develop a list of apps that can make our lives easier at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 15, in the Longmont Civic Center at 350 Kimbark Street. Those suggestions will be used to challenge local techies to spend a marathon weekend developing solutions to benefit our community. Would you like an app to help you find bicycle parking? Maybe you want to find all the public art in Longmont. Or perhaps you’d like to know what fresh produce is for sale this week at the farmers’ market. Whatever your ideas, bring them to this open forum for consideration.
