CFI Beaverton Atheists Meetup

  • Apr 24, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Enjoy an evening of engaging, relaxing and interesting conversation at our casual gatherings held the last Wednesday of every month.

Our members share a common desire to discuss life experiences and personal views without fear of judgement or alienation. The meetings boast sympathetic and knowledgeable listeners from a variety of backgrounds - from the atheist to the agnostic to the unsure. Common ground within our eclectic group is easy to find.

Our informal meetings span a variety of topics, including religion, politics and science. Our time is spent in an unmoderated group setting, and often more than one discussion occurs at a time. Attendees are encouraged to switch seats, meet and greet others, and enjoy some of the best coffee and chocolate around. Join us!

The Beaverton Atheists Meetup is an activity of CFI Portland. If you want to get the bigger picture about what's going on in the freethought community around Portland, that's the calendar to check!

Through education, research, publishing, and social services, it seeks to present affirmative alternatives based on scientific naturalism. The Center is also interested in providing rational ethical alternatives to the reigning paranormal and religious systems of belief, and in developing communities where like-minded individuals can meet and share experiences.

Our meetups are very informal. People can come and go as they please. In general, they last from about 7-9pm, and some people have even chosen to stay after that. I usually have to leave at about 8:30 - 8:45ish.

You don't need to bring anything. Our meetups are informal and very casual.
