What are the proper limits on free speech? Blasphemy laws are easy—we're all opposed to them. But what about Holocaust denial? Or anti-bullying rules in school? Or hate speech laws?
Ed Brayton will talk about some of the more difficult cases involving the limits of freedom of speech, both in the United States and around the world, and asking you to weigh in on those questions. Where exactly should the lines be drawn in situations that are not as simple as laws that make blasphemy illegal.

Ed Brayton is the founder and owner of the Freethought Blogs network and the voice behind the popular blog Dispatches from the Culture Wars. He is the co-founder and past president of Michigan Citizens for Science and the recipient of the Friend of Darwin Award from the National Center for Science Education and has appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show, The Thom Hartmann Show, and C-SPAN. Ed is also a member of the CFI Advisory Board.
