Stephen Hammond, Chief Scientist of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Ocean Exploration and Research Program, examines the largest and least-explored of this planet’s ecosystems, including submarine volcanoes, “extremophiles,” and other newly-discovered - and often bizarre-looking - animal life. Updates on research in progress will be included in this repeat of Dr. Hammond’s September 18, 2012 presentation. (More info at http://www.omsi.edu/node/5780.)
