CFI Portland Meetup Group Message Board Resources / Self Education › Radiolab and LSD

Radiolab and LSD

A former member
Here's a link to the often referenced (especially in the last discussion group) Radiolab podcast:
http://www.radiolab.o...

The way I describe it to people... "Radiolab is the closest thing I have to a spiritual experience"

The book I mentioned a couple of times the other night was:
Joshua Fost - If Not God, Then What? Neuroscience, Aesthetics, and the Origins of the Transcendent
http://www.amazon.com...
His looks at the brain's activity during spiritual experiences and compares that to other activities that produce similar feelings (in particular, hallucinations). It also had some other interesting things like what is beauty and how does that relate to archetypes.
