Portland event: "The Christ Myth" by Robert M. Price (after Member Reception)

Join us for a special presentation by visiting speaker Robert Price for a skeptical view on the historicity of Jesus while enjoying the Lucky Lab's food and brews. Minors are permitted until 9.00pm.

If you are a current member of the Center for Inquiry, please join us for the Member Reception with Prof. Price from[masked] pm. To renew your membership or join for the first time, go to our Membership Page.

Topic: Was Jesus a historical figure who once walked the earth? Or does a myth lie at the root of the gospel portrait? How does a historian decide? Does the existence of numerous mythic parallels "prove" Jesus is a myth? Do ancient historians document Jesus' existence? Why do most scholars dismiss the Christ Myth Theory as a crackpot notion akin to Holocaust denial? Does the theory have anything to do with atheism?

6:00-7:00 pm - Member Reception

7:00 pm - Doors open to the public

7:30 pm - Presentation and Q&A
