Secular Sunday School

Are you ready to travel to Ancient Egypt this Sunday? We will talk about the Egyptian creation story, get to know the many Egyptian gods, and the kids will use their critical thinking skills to understand why all these gods were "needed" in Ancient Egypt.
We will come up with our own story about Seth, who dies and has to reach the Fields of Yaru, to reach eternal happiness. We will do fun word searches, and finally the kids will be encouraged the create their very own god. Will it have a beak or a trunk? Skin or scales? Claws or toes? Will it look like a human or an animal? And what purpose does their god serve? Is it all powerful? Where did it come from, and where will it go?

Please RSVP for this event. It is important that I have enough material printed for all children. We don't want anyone to feel left out.

We also need one parent to volunteer to bring a snack (cookies, fruit, pretzels?) and one parent to bring a drink (water and cups). If you choose to be that volunteer, please post on your RSVP to let me know.
Thank you!
