CFI Skeptics in Vancouver, Camas and Washougal

Late notice, our location was cancelled due to building issues. I am finalizing confirmation for the Skamania room at the Vancouver library, 4 th floor, turn right from the stairs, past language section to the room. You can park for free across from the movie theater and walk over, it is a short walk. Okay to bring water and snack.

Meet local skeptics, atheists, secular humanists, scientific naturalists and other friends of reason for conversation and friendship! We have met in the past on Haydn Island and in Vancouver near the mall, but since many seem to live on the east side, are going to try various locations in Vancouver, Camas and Washougal. We welcome people from anywhere. Please vote for your favorite location(s).

Meetings are informal and social. Conversation is spirited and informative.

Skeptics in the Pub is an outreach program of Center for Inquiry Portland. Be sure to view the calendar at CFI Portland Meetup or the Events Calendar at CFI Portland to check out all the secular activities around the area.

Should have typed Roz instead of Ros, sorry.

Stimulating discussion. Just to reiterate: I encourage you to get in touch with Freedom From Religion Foundation - Portland Area (or something like that; maybe they just use the FFRF acronym on-line). They are quite literally looking for a fight, and even those members who don't live in Vancouver might be interested in supporting your efforts with your city council.

    Helen,
We have liked meeting in places with food, but it has been challenging finding good places to meet. This space does not have food, it's a private room and we can bring food. If someone wanted to coordinate ordering pizza delivery, mth at would be great, or we can just bring snacks and drink to share. I am leaving it to the group, but will bring some snack. Hope to see you there!

Welcome, Helen. I'm no expert having been to only 2 meetings, but last time people just brought in some finger foods to share: cheese, crackers, deli slices veggies, cookies. Oh, and drinks. Bob and I hope to come to this meeting, too. We will bring something to share, but I don't know what yet.

Corrected post: New to this group, I'm a little unclear on how to interpret the announcement re April 6. Some time before then, will a single food option - pizza delivery OR potluck OR "food in (purchased from?) the Hall (whatever that is)" - be chosen, or will it be "all of the above"?

Currently I have another meetup on Sat. that interferes with this time, but eventually, that will change. Count me in sometime in another time dimension.

Thanks, Roz! Bob and I plan to be there for more interesting discussions.
