Exciting things are happening for CFI-Austin! This is the place to be if you care about rational thought, scientific thinking & advancement as well as building a community for us secular folks.

A solid core of reasonable folks who are providing a great service towards our understanding of science and other questions that need our response, humor and action. The more of these folks I meet, the richer the experience becomes.

The food was great. How talented, the balloon magician! I would recommend a separate gift exchange for little kids. I'm not sure about you, but if I were 6 years old, I would have been disappointed to receive a chest waxing kit. Ha! Also, I would like to volunteer for next Saturnalia. I have some more ideas for games and I enjoy decorating. Maybe some paper name tags for next time? Thanks for everthing, we had a good time.

CFI is great, as far as I can tell. It's only my third event; I didn't really see anyone I recognized from the other meetings.

This was my first experience with the Center for Inquiry Austin. I was impressed with the degree of intellectual discussion and came away with new information. The people were inviting and generous in letting others feel welcomed to speak. They were able to express (some quite passionately) their opinions/facts as their opinions/facts and were open for debate with a lot of educated, well researched data. I will be attending more meetings.

As a member of the recently disbanded physics group, I appreciate the value of good leadership. I hope I'm not offending the many people responsible for CFI's success, by my sincere thanks to Steve Bratteng for the success of the discussion groups.

for support if they are like-minded. it can be a community as well as support system, not to mention a smart group of folks. (it is also nice to meet kids who are being raised by parents with the same fundamental beliefs at the family functions.)

  • Center for Inquiry - Austin

It is quite rare and therefore exciting for me to meet a group of people who can hold a conversation as well as the voices in my head. CFI is one of those groups. No matter the setting, no matter the subject matter, no matter the state of sobriety, it always feels like kicking ignorance in it's balls and punching close-mindedness in it's....balls.
