Science Trivia Night #2

In response to comments that the questions were much too hard, the next trivia session will have about half of the questions in multiple choice format.

Our third trivia night and the second one on Science.

The evening will be devoted to showing knowledge about astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, geology, meteorology, anatomy, science words, etc. See a SAMPLE QUIZ - at the top of this page put cursor on More and then click on Files in the drop-down menu.

The word trivia means different things to different people. For some of the folks I have taught, virtually everything I thought they should know was something they considered to be trivia. [sigh]

The "trivia" quizzes at this event will be a mix of basic facts that most people who have had fairly good HS educ. probably would have been exposed to, plus some more obscure tidbits of information that perhaps only someone who likes minutia will know.

I felt better after I heard Michelle Gadush say that Steve was just toying with us. I don't feel quite so ignorant now :-)

I personally highly enjoyed the last trivia night. It was what I thought a trivia quiz should be: lesser known but interesting facts. What's the fun if it's all softball questions? I play trivia around town often, and half or most of all quizzes are random pop culture stuff which I find boring. It's nice to have a difficult quiz in town that also covers "academic" topics. I would have made it to all of them but I usually work on Fridays.
