It was a lot of fun, a good group of all ages. I liked the discussion about Drones

There were 9 skeptics at this month’s café skeptic. The topic on the meetup group remained as “TBA” and when no moderator showed up the group appointed one. Good job Alon! and good job keeping us on track.

The group then suggested three topics: Drones, Guns and yes Marriage. The group voted for Drones and after an 1 ½ hours of a very good discussion we switched to Marriage for the last half hour and although Bruce got to say a little more than the rest of us (this is not a criticism Bruce! you do a good job in keeping the conversation going and always have interesting ideas!) I think everyone got a fair chance to comment on the topic and express their views but we can still do better in sharing the “floor” with everyone.

I enjoy discussions with Skeptics on whatever topic is chosen. Even if no one researched the topic and even if at the end we end up with more questions than answers. Skeptics can always get a good conversation going about a topic.

I fully agree, relative to sharing the discussion; next time I'll perhaps bring some ductape for restraint [in my case]!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
