Time and Space-Part 2 presented By Jola Karl
We continue our discussion - What is time? This deceptively simple question is the single most important problem pertaining to our understanding of reality, natural laws and existence. Time , space and consciousness are the most pervasive aspects of human experience: everything we do, think, experience is within time and space. Over the ages, religious traditions, philosophers and scientists offered different views of time and examined various aspects of time. We will talk about some of these notions :
1. Before and After 2. Being and becoming 3. Straight arrow of time and " unique event" 4. Cyclical view of time 5. Duality of time 6. Absolute time , space and mathematics ( Descartes, Newton) 7. Time as conflict 8. Time felt and time perceived 9.Time as a priori concept (before experience) (Kant) 10. Essential unreality of time ( present, past and future is subject of human experience - Einstein , Plato) 11. Curvature of space and time 12. Time is real - Evolution of life (Darwin), natural laws, mathematics and all other aspects of reality. Living "in time" as opposed to "out of time"
