Metacognitive Brunch: a discussion group

Fancy a midday helping of open-ended intellectual exchange? Join a small group of aspiring critical thinkers for great, inexpensive food and lively discussion of topics relating to skepticism, secularism, science, philosophy, psychology, and other matters of the mind. We will meet outside, take a head count, and head inside as a group at 11:30 a.m. sharp. (If you arrive late, you're welcome to join us if sufficient seating is available, but there are no guarantees!) This event is tentatively scheduled for the second and fourth Sunday of each month.

Hi. I assumed - perhaps incorrectly - that arrival times are neither hard nor fast. Please let me know if that is not the case and I'll skip. Otherwise, my planned arrival time is 12.45

Sorry D&D RPG with friends calls but maybe we can talk about speculative elven psychology next time. I mean if elves use trance rather then sleep to bind time perhaps they can assemble different personalities and senses of self through the ages. That's meta-cognitive right? :-)

Real elves only speak lojban it's much more emotionally expressive but I suppose Sindarin will DO. (said haughtily) LOL

Lojban? A cruder tongue for a lesser branch of the Fair Folk, I deem, but no less haughty for all that.
