Hi all. We're going to do this walk:

http://walkingenglishman.com/midlands20.html

Greg's highlighted that it's only a 1.5 mile walk from Wellington station if anyone is concerned about transport.

It's not too long and has the benefit of being fairly close to home, but it offers 600m of climbing (not all in one go, I might add) and the chance to get a few more miles under our belts. The site says "hard", but frankly I'm a little sceptical - so let's have some fun and see!

If anyone has a local map it would be most useful.

See you there.

Good weather, nice route, fairly quiet. But you're right, many bigger and tougher hills to climb!

Hi John, I've done the Wrekin and ercall a few times....it's tough in that it has quite a decent incline for quite a while so takes its toll on the thighs, but you're right, it's not 'hard' compared to other walks the group has done or the normal walk ratings. It does get incredibly busy round there though, particularly for parking.

Where would you say is best to park, Dianne?

    Hi Zhanna,

Nice to have you - I'm assuming you have kit like walking boots, waterproofs etc? I can give you a lift if you make your way to the bus stop by the O2 Academy, on the Bristol Road across from the Radisson Blu Hotel.

My car will then be full up, so I won't be able to give anyone else a lift as it currently stands! The fuel contribution is £5 there and back.

    Look forward to meeting you!

Good to hear- and hopefully we'll be startingearly enough to avoid the worst of the crowds. It shouldn't take us too long get round, so I imagine we'll be finished by mid afternoon, Jo!

Hi Inigo. Of course it is. I'll be driving through the city centre, so if you could make your way to O2, for example, it'd be no problem at all .

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
