Introduction

I joined the book club for the first book, 3 days after Jess got the whole thing started back in 2007 (3+ years ago! amazing). We have a great group of regulars and always welcome new people. Jump on in and suggest a book on our dicussion board.

What is/are your favorite book(s)?

Great books I never would have read if not for bookclub include: Camera, Out, Master and Margarita

It is great how the group is growing with interesting new people, which just opens up the discussions and perspectives. People show up once and they are hooked!

Rose--I want to apologize for being a no show last night. In my haste to make it on time I ran into a glass door and ended up getting 5 stitches in my nose! I would MUCH have preferred joining you as I loved your book selection for this time. Hope it was a great discussion. Karen

Rose--thanks for letting me know that you went to the play. It was scheduled as a Meetup for Friday but not enough people RSVP'd (2) so I changed it on the calendar to an informal 'Note", and urged people to see it at some point during its run. It would be great if you let people know you enjoyed it. You could post it as an "idea", or on the message board as a conversation -- I'm probably going to go on Sunday afternoon. Thanks!

Hi Rose, thanks for your note. I think we'd be a little bit of backtracking for you - about 4.5 miles. We're a few blocks west of MLK and Hillsborough/Umstead. Would that be too far out of your way? Most likely it would be both my husband and I, but there's the off chance that it would be just me. Thanks!
