I'm most passionate and involved in animal non-profits. Very active in the Forsyth Humane Society having served as board president, the chair of the fund raising committee, worked at our shelter and on several other committees as well. The thing I'm currently spending the most time on is with a group called UnchainForsyth which is supported by FHS and FurEver Friends in Winston Salem. We're a coalition of people who lobbied and got a chaining ordinance passed in Forsyth County and we now build fences for low income folks with chained dogs. Our ultimate goal is for the dogs to be unchained forever and to be inside dogs, loved and pampered as all dogs should be. I'm also involved to a lesser degree with a fairly new 501c3 called Hidden K Rescue & Rehabilitation. They rescue horses, get them healthy and then find them new homes.
Evenings and weekends.
I'm a graphic designer married to an artist and we are lucky enough to have our own business. I specialize in magazine art direction and design and in addition to his own work does commissions, primarily pet portraits.
