Great event. Adam Hunter did a great job of presenting a lot of material quickly. The time and effort he put into his slide deck was very appreciated. It was awesome to present completely from irb! Thanks for making this happen Adam!

This turned out to really get into the language! I think we'd be smart to have 101 for non-programmers and 201 for programmers.

The presentation code can be found at https://github.com/adamhunter/ruby101

I used the snippet @deck.tap(&:ff).play frequently while I was developing the slides. Bonus points if you can explain want this does.

Arrr, it'll be a darn shame t' miss a Ruby meetup at me own office, and on Talk Like a Pirate Day t' boot! But seein' as I'll be overseas and ye urchins'll be in the Queen's City, it can't be helped.

Good luck gettin' yer sea legs. and I do hope ye'll be testin' yer code with ArrrrrSpec.

To follow along please make sure you have ruby 1.9.3 installed and available from your command prompt. These are my relative versions and how to check your version:
    - ruby ~> 1.9.3 `ruby -v`
    - irb ~> 0.9.6 `irb -v`
    - gem ~>1.8.24 `gem -v`

@Dimitros not a problem at all, I'd suggest they RSVP though so we can make sure we have the space.

The office can be a bit challenging to find, so take a look at this map before you start driving. You want the bigger building at the bottom of the little half-loop Coronation Blvd makes. http://bit.ly/PuDoRa

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
