Hack Night

Our monthly Hack Night has been gaining momentum, and is now a great event! There is no structure-- come with questions or a project that you'll be working on, and hear what others are up to in your community. Also feel free to suggest a discussion topic and follow up with the attendees there.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the meeting last night. I enjoyed the guild like vibe and seeing what tools folks are using.

    I have a question about Hubot. Interested in installing this to test
    my knowledge of Heroku and do something with Rails that is was discussed last night. I have installed Heroku installed and I am have been able to upload repo successfully. I completed steps 1-4 but
    I am trying to understand step #5

    Edit Procfile and change it to use the hipchat adapter. If your bot's first name is not "Hubot" you'll want to edit the name here as well:

    =>app: bin/hubot -a hipchat -n Hubot

    link to instructions:
    https://github.com/hipchat/hubot-hipchat

    My assumption is that this a file that needs to be edited
    so that you can interact with a Heroku deployment of Hipchat/Hubot.

    Where does the proc file need to be placed? All of the doc's
    I found on google say something like place proc file in the root of the application directory. Andrew

    I don't know about anyone else, but I'm less likely to come out since it's on labor day.
