Summer Camp for Adults!

Raft through the rivers and ride through the hills of beautiful Tennessee on this awesome weekend of fun and adventure!

Our 5th Annual Raft and Ride event will be held at Eagle Ranch, nestled in the beautiful mountains of Copperhill, Tennessee. It's our biggest weekend outdoors with activities for everyone!

The fun begins Friday! You're welcome to arrive any time Friday or even early Saturday morning. On Friday, there will be various options for day hiking and mountain biking. We should return to the ranch by late afternoon. Back at the ranch we can play volleyball, frisbee, kickball and field games. After dinner we'll play drinking games, hang out at the fire circle and make new friends.

Saturday begins with a great Eagle Ranch breakfast. You'll need it for our fun-filled day! Saturday is RAFTING day and you can choose from the following:

  • Rafting the Ocoee - The world famous Ocoee river offers some of the best Class III & IV rafting in the U.S. Eagle Ranch guides will take us safely down the river, soaking us while we have fun! There will be options for rafting both the middle (mild) and upper (crazy) sections of the river this year!
  • Tubing or Kayaking the Hiwassee - The beautiful Hiwassee river flows gently through the Tennessee hills. Rentals available or Bring Your Own Boats!

Back at the ranch again, we'll play more games, throw horse shoes, or find nearby hiking and mountain biking trails; Eagle Ranch itself has over 120 acres to explore! Dinner is followed by campfire songs and stories. Bring your own to add to the mix! Saturday night's party theme is Graffiti T-Shirt. Bring a white T-Shirt and your markers! We'll also light up the ridiculously high BON FIRE!!

This year we're bringing in a great rock & blues band too!

The next morning starts with another hearty Eagle Ranch breakfast. Sunday is RIDING day and you can choose from the following:

  • Horseback Riding - A ride through the scenic trails with views of the hills and valleys all around!
  • Mountain Bike Riding (bring your own bike). We'll have beginner and intermediate level rides through the world class Tanasi and Chillowee systems!
  • Zip Line & Canopy Adventure - Fifteen spectacular ziplines, over a mile of adrenaline pumping fun, on a two hour tour!

If that's not enough for you we'll have options for hiking, mountain biking, and road biking all weekend!

Dante: Is there a map of the area and trails you can post here so we can plan hikes? Or somewhere we can find it on the internet?

    Thanks.

    May 28

    • Ren

Hi Dante, Have not see any trail maps on the website, can you post a link to them?

      June 6

    • Dante

Sorry I forgot to link them and I'm here at the ranch already and can't get to them. If you google Tanasi maps you should find some though. You can also get them at the Whitewater Center.

Is there a problem with staying overnight on Sunday in my motor home? I would rather not travel home too late in the evening. If so, I can do the later horseback riding on Sunday if someone needs to leave early. Also, what do we need to wear for ww rafting?

    May 29

    • Dante

Will be sending out information shortly including what to wear. No problem staying Sunday night. Bring some cash to pay the ranch for the additional night ($15). Had you asked about the RV before? We have 2 or 3 coming in RV so the parking areas may be tight.

      June 1

    • Wendy

Yes, I said I was bringing my motor home when I made the initial reservation. I can use it without putting the slide out, if needed.

      June 1

  • Tina

What type of lodging? Are we having own room /own bath ?

    June 1

    • Dante

Tina - you have a choice of tent or bunkhouses. There is a bathhouse nearby. However, the deadline has passed to register.

      June 1

  • Michelle

Any details for check in and first day activities?

    May 31

    • Dante

Yes! Will be emailing information tomorrow including the schedule, directions and a list of what to bring. Folks it's time to start forming your carpools!

      May 31

  • Dante

Hi folks! We have added some additional spots for the Saturday afternoon MIDDLE OCOEE rafting trip.

    May 31

  • Dante

Hi folks! We are coming down to the wire but there are still some activities open. Saturday tubing and kayaking are still open. Sunday we still have combo Ocoee rafting, zip lines and we added a 3:15pm horseback riding time. If you have questions please message me.

    May 24

    • Ren

What about the Sunday rafting combo? Does it end around 2pm as well?

      May 31

    • Dante

Yes you should be back to the ranch by 2pm

      May 31

  • Lynn

I know its early but wanted to start thinking about the car pool situation. I took off of work that fri-mon and would like pair up with 1 or 2 others for the ride (preferably my vehicle). I plan to go Fri morning and head back Sun afternoon/evening or maybe even Mon. [masked]

    • Lynn

I paid for horseback riding for sun. I got an email stating I was switched to sat because of schedules. But i asked to be switched back to sun. Regardless I am not going to be in a hurry to get back. I want to take my car because I have back issues and the heated seats and lumbar support is a must. Are you bringing a bike?

      May 29

    • Dante

Lynn I switched you back to Sunday for horseback.

  • Gail Gillies

Hey Dante, Is there still room on the 1/2 day raft trip Saturday? Thanks!

    May 20

    • Gail Gillies

Great, we'll do that one, but please keep us on the wait list for the full day trip. Also, do you know what time the zip line is on Sunday? Finally, how can I pay for the additional items since I've already checked out with just the $110 fee? Sorry to be a pain! I appreciate all of your help!

      May 20

    • Dante

Hi Gail - you should have received an email from me with how to pay the remainder.

      May 21

  • Tamela

Is there room in the bunk house for 3?

Thanks Dante. Our son is 24

  • Laurie A. Franklin

I'm not sure whether to bunk or camp. Has anyone ever bunked before? I have and it was uncomfortable, loud, and claustrophobic. Too many people too close together!

    May 10

    • Laurie A. Franklin

Thanks Dante. That sound much better than what I experienced with 16 bunks full of 16 women! I actually went and slept in my car and left the next day.

      May 13

    • Lynn

Laurie.. I'm glad you made me think about it actually. I might not get to camp this year, so this is my opportunity! If its really hot I might bunk.

      May 16

  • Michael

For the sunday rafting group, do we have the same two options as the saturday group or just one of them?

    May 15

    • Dante

For Sunday rafting it is the Combo (Upper & Middle Ocoee) trip only at $70.

      May 16

  • Gail Gillies

What do I need to do to reserve bunks? I also need to talk to you about rafting. Thanks!

Looking for someone to share my ride. I am taking my bike and can fit 1 more bike and fit a 3 more people.

    May 14

reserve bunk house, middle Ocoee, and horseback for two

  • Wendy

    Me, too, Michael!!

Dante, I am bringing my motor home. Do I need to let the Ranch know?

    April 8, 2013

    • Dante

I let them know we have some RVs coming and there should not be any problems. When you arrive please walk up to the pavillion and we'll let you know where to setup. It may be a bit of a walk from the pavillion to where we ask you to park.

      April 8, 2013

  • Wendy

Hi, I want to pay for my trip but don't know where I select what activities I want to do. I'm also not sure what Pay Pal is. Can I just use a credit card? Thanks

    April 6, 2013

    • Dante

Hi Wendy - I can tell from the price paid which activities you want to do. Just total them up and make sure to adjust the price. I will confirm with you after payment. To pay just click PAY ONLINE NOW above. It will take you to a page where you can put your credit card info in. We use PayPal but you do not have to register with them to make a payment.

      April 6, 2013

  • Andrew

not this time folks ! white water center for me ! better pricing too..

    March 28, 2013

    • Dante

No offense intended, but I'm not sure how you figure the pricing is better. WWC is $54 for a day pass plus your $5 rafting reservation. That gets you 1 hour on a fake river. Here we're doing $35 for 2.5 to 3 hours on a real Class IV river, the Ocoee. I suppose you'd save the lodging and meals since WWC is local but the trip and getting out of town is half the fun. I don't mean to knock the WWC, it's a fun place to go, but you're not making a fair comparison.

      1 · March 29, 2013

    • Andrew

well, Im doing seasonal pass works out much better, again this some thing I do at least on a week, again you call fake a call it technical many people even the national come to train at USNWC.....
I got no problem creeking, just from my overall experience drag my gear a cross state and gas and all!

  • Michelle

Dante, What time are the Sun. activities? Trying to plan and want to get back to Charlotte before 7pm.

    March 24, 2013

    • Michelle

What time do we need to be there for Friday Dinner?

      March 25, 2013

    • Dante

We usually serve around 8pm and we'll keep it warm for those arriving later.

      March 25, 2013

  • Brian Deakins

Hello, new to the group, is there motorhome camping available? Thank you in advance for your help. Brian

    March 17, 2013

    • Dante

OK I'll try to check with him today.

      March 18, 2013

    • Dante

Brian - the Ranch says RV is OK! Depending on the size we may have you park it away from the pavillion though. Worst case would be a 100 yard walk.

      March 20, 2013
