What should we do? Do you have a suggestion for the next Charm City Eats event?

  • Please let us know if you're interested in becoming an Event Host and we'll empower you to post and plan events. If you're not seeing the events you'd like to attend posted by the group, then become an Event Host and do it yourself. You may not have the time to organize a group, but being an Event Host is easy - you just plan events when and if you have the time.

The best groups have many Event Hosts offering a variety of events, depending on the interests of the Event Hosts, that may appeal to certain members within the group. We'd like this group to be as diverse and varied as possible.

Otherwise, let us know if you have any kind of suggestion or comment for an event or for improving the group.

I recently heard of Aromes in Hampden and am curious to give it a try. NEW AMERICAN & FRENCH CUISINE. SOURCED IN MARYLAND, FARM TO TABLE.

Our menu is prix fixe and features a total of 6 dishes that change weekly. Diners may opt for all 6 courses for $65 or choose 3 of the 6 for $45. Always seasonal & local. http://aromesrestaurant.com/menu.html

Could I be an event host please? I'd like to invite a group to try Parts and Labor, and there are a bunch of other places I'd like to eat at too. I would be happy change my lettuce head to a real photo so people can know who they're looking for :) Thanks! -Robin

Hi Robin I'd love to try Parts & Labor. I've heard good things. I just joined and I've also just decided to become a vegetarian but I'm sure I could fill up on veggies and carbs!

I was sick when you went to Silk Road, so I hope the group will go there again. I'm up for more excursions to restaurants with ethnic/international cuisines.

    Hi Kenny,
Can you help me announce the Ozra lunch meetup for Sunday February 16th (Baltimore Restaurant Week)? I posted it. It's still on the Suggested tab and I'd like to announce it to the group. Thanks!

Loretta, Welcome to the group. Are you asking to be the organizer for this event, and perhaps others in the future at your pleasure?

      January 26, 2014

    • Loretta

      Yes, thank you very much!!

I am new to the group but it looks like fun. I may be able to organize something but I need to know what is involved. Thanks!

Kay, are you still deciding if you want to be an event organizer? Let me know.

      January 22, 2014

    • Kay F.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I do not think I should for the immediate due to some family health concerns which may inhibit my reliability. I will reconsider in a couple months. I do have a suggestion though, how about The French Kitchen at The Lord Baltimore Hotel? Thanks!

Kenny, I'd be interested in helping organize. I'll need to know more about my duties though. I'm a very busy gal so I'll have to know what all it entails before I commit.

    November 30, 2013

    • Kenny T

There's not much to it - I'll make you an event organizer so you can host events and you can do so as often as you wish.

      December 2, 2013

  • Julie

I'd be interested in being an assistant organizer. I've organized events for other groups. I went to Fleet Street Kitchen a while back and was impressed. Nice bar area to have a drink before dinner too.

Christina and Adrianne: Thanks for the suggestions - I will definitely take a look shortly. Do either of you have any interest in becoming an assistant organizer? If so, let me know and we can discuss. Thanks again!

Hi there, I'm new to the group. There is this place in Parkville called Herb & Soul that is really good. Or in Owings Mills there is a place called Grannys.
