Hi folks,

I just joined this group. Here is why. 3 months ago I saw two guys
playing chess at Dunkin Donuts (I live in CT). It was at 6am. I am
usually up by 5 am. So, it turns out now every sat at 6:30 I play this
dude, very nice guy, at chess for 2-3 hrs. He kicks my butt pretty much
every time. I want to kick his butt and need some help - especially now
that he keeps score (ie; I told him once I one my first game he could
and that happened last weekend). I would rate myself as a kinda average
player who has potential to be much better but needs to work on making
it happen.

I tried looking on the web at some "killer" moves and they don't work
against him. I need something quick and simple from start of game. If
you have two game plays that would be great... I'll have napkins ready
for tears when he cries I beat him so bad. Any suggestions? Again, I am
only an intermediate player if that.

BTW - You can tell I like to compete. I don't mind losing, but always
work to win, honestly.

Thanks! Mike
