  • The Washington, D.C. Chess Meetup

Chess at the Kogard Courtyard of the American Art museum on Sunday morning was an inspired idea. Bathed in the soft light of the wide open courtyard, adjoining a small cafeteria with good (albeit moderately expensive) food, in the midst of a renowned museum, at a convenient location adjoining the Metro, and convening at a congenial time, we had the perfect occasion to play through through the afternoon and into the evening, until the staff began folding up the tables as we gathered around the last moves on the last board of the day.

Good for playing different players and several blitz games which helps to sharpen ones skill for managing the opening and clock time.
