Bi movie night

Come join us every other Monday for a movie at the Center on Halsted!

Each night we watch a movie that deals with bisexuality in some way, past movies have included Cabaret, Interview With a Vampire, Kinsey, and Beautiful Creatures.

Soft drinks are provided for free, and people are welcome to bring popcorn, cookies, or other snack items to share (or keep all to yourself).

The event is free, but donations to the Center to support our programming are always accepted. :)

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT [masked] 2013/2014 Seminar Schedule

    “Men in Therapy”
    Saturday, November 16, 2013
Presented by: Sheldon Lewin, LCSW, MBA

Men often seek psychotherapy only as a last resort. The idea of talking about feelings to resolve problems is not on most men’s agenda. Men believe asking for help is “unmanly." Therefore, many hide their condition not only from family and friends but also from themselves. Therapists may be operating from assumptions that can make men uncomfortable in therapy. This workshop teaches the orientation, specialized clinical skills, and necessary masculine perspective to help engage men in therapy, significantly improve therapeutic outcomes in both individual and group settings. (1.5 CEU’s applied for).
