Presenter list so far:
You’ve attended Chicago HTML5 Meetups over the past 6+ months, and heard from some great speakers on some interesting topics. Now we want to hear from you.
Do you have a topic you’re passionate about, but don’t want to put together an hour long presentation or demo? Just want to practice your public speaking skills in front of a group of like-minded Web nerds? This night is for you.
We’ll be using the PechaKucha 20x20 presentation format. What’s that? 20 auto-forwarding slides that are displayed for 20 seconds each. That’s 6 minutes and 40 seconds. You can learn more at http://www.pechakucha.org/ (which also happens to have been built by our friends at Table XI).
Don’t want to go PK style? That’s cool, too. We’ll give you a 10ish minute slot to present whatever and however you want, and gong you off when you run over time.
Topics are wide open, whatever you want to talk about. Obviously we’d love it to be web development related, but really, anything at all. Get up in front of your peers and say something. Your mom will be proud.
We're looking for up to 10 speakers. If we get more, we'll schedule another night and keep it rolling. If you're interested, send me (Andrew) a message. http://www.meetup.com/chicago-html5/members/60103602/
The event is at VSA Partners, so we'll need all attendees' full names for the building list.
